1. Please check the number of satellites whose GPS signal is received by the device. The number of satellites will be shown on the display in the lower information bar behind the Y symbol. If less than 3 satellites are shown, a route evaluation isn’t possible because too few GPS signals are being received.
2. In areas with lots of high buildings, reception of GPS signals is frequently insufficient. Drive away from where you are and try a fresh evaluation in a less built up area. The same applies to tunnels and long underpasses.
3. So-called metal cushioned front panels are installed on some vehicles. These don't let GPS signals through particularly well. Putting the navigation device near an A column often helps.
4. If adjusting the device hasn’t improved the situation and you still can’t get any GPS reception, then you will need an external GPS antenna, which improves GPS reception. To find out more about the antenna, please ring our hotline.
